About the newest technology in UV lights and indoor air quality offered by Florida Comfort Air Conditioning in Port Charlotte, FL. The freshaire UV apco does not produce ozone, but uses a charcoal “scrubber” to clean the air.
What is APCO?
Installs in the duct work of your central air system just above the air handler or furnace. UV light works by removing airborne contaminants as the air is circulated by the central air and heating system. APC reduces the captured constituents through an innovative photo catalytic oxidation process which breaks them down into elemental carbon dioxide and water vapor by use of a proprietary absorption media that captures VOCs.
UV-C Light Kills Germs
In numerous studies for over a century scientist have known that certain requencies o light have a devastating effect on microbial life. The ultraviolet light within the range disrupts the DNA of micro-organisms, thus preventing them from reproducing, thereby effectively killing them.
What are VOC’s
VOCs are carbon-based chemicals that easily evaporate at room temperature.
